Holika Puja

Holika Puja is done for both Thandi Holika and Garam Holika (after Holika Dahan). Vrat or fasting is observed till Thandi Holika puja is done. Bachwaras/ Bachbaras Ki Puja

Bachwaras Puja is done during the morning. Entire day, we eat Thanda and only eat things made of Bajra (no other grains) and drink only Buffalo milk. No Vrat or fasting is observed, just do not eat any other grains or anything cooked hot. Teethi: Bhadra Krishnapaksha Dwadashi Puja Saamagri / Materials needed: 1. Bajra Atta ki Loi & Cucumber - only if doing Ujman 2. Water in 2 Kalash or Glass 3. Moong & Chana (soaked overnight) 4. Bajra (soaked overnight) 5. Buffalo milk Curd 6. Roli Chawal 7. Moli Puja Vidhi / Method: 1. In a Pata, keep both the kalash of water 2. Make sathiya and chhabra on the kalash and tie Moli on its rim 3. Take Moong Chana in both hands (total 14), also put little curd and soaked bajra at some distance in the hand and listen to Bachwaras ki kahani (pg 39) - Keep the Moong Chana aside 4. Aas Mata Ki Puja

Aas Mata Puja is done during the morning. Entire day, we only eat things made of Moong dal (no other grains). No Vrat or fasting is observed, just do not eat any other grains. Teethi : Falgun Shuklapaksha Saptami (It is usually done on any day between Shuklapaksha Pratipada to Shuklapaksha Ashtami) Puja Saamagri / Materials needed: 1. Moong dal ka Shira 2. Water in 2 Kalash or Glass 3. Wheat / Gehu 4. Kachcha Suta (Take 8 taar ka & make 8 gaanth or knots) 5. Roli Chawal 6. Moli Puja Vidhi / Method : 1. In a Pata, keep both the kalash of water 2. Make sathiya and chhabra on the kalash and tie Moli on its rim 3. Take gehu in hand and listen to Aas Mata ki kahani (pg 123) 4. Keep Shira near Kachcha suta, wear the dhaga for a min and remove it 5. Keep this gehu, dhaga and kalash water aside 6. Now take more gehu in hand and listen to Bindayak ji ki kahani (pg 60) 7.
